American Dominoes app good for
I originally played this companys original Domino game a lot because of the great gameplay and feel, but this version has all the rules that I grew up with. Now that they added tapping directly on the arrows to determine tile placement, Im not accidentally putting them on the wrong end.
The scrolling isnt bad, considering how many tiles end up on a small screen, and the arrangement of the spinners makes it easy too.
Only one bug. Sometimes the scroll view freezes. The fix is to exit the game, and when you start, the game is where it was when you left and the scrolling works.
I pass a lot of time playing this great game - I love it. One enhancement request I have is that the users get the option of selecting a cumulative score instead of submitting the score and starting from scratch after every game.
I never really knew the rules for Dominoes, but with this version, I dont really need to! It does all that scoring hard work for me!
Great game and would recommed it. Choices for game board and dominoes make it more interesting.
Very good game! Only thing Is that once the spinner is closed on both ends it continues to scores. Ex. You played big Five as your spinner ok you scored 10 right. Ok computer played 5/4 thats 14 right no score. So when I play 5/6 on the other end it scores 20 which is wrong it should only score 10 which throws strategy off. Once the spinner Is played on both sides the other two sides can not be counted unless you play a bone on the side ex. Ok big 5 spinning we done played 5/4 on one side of spinner and 5/6 one the other side of spinner the score is ten ok lets say we played 5 blank on the spinner which should count 10 with out counting the other 5 on the spinner thats how we play in THE SOUTH TEXAS LOUISIANA
Some bad moments
Ok what I dont like about this; 1) I cant see the computers score. Why? In any online version Ive played, the computers score is visable as is mine. 2) I get really really mad that when my oponent scores (the computer, their score is deducted from MY score. WHY. I have never experenced that in an online version of this game. Please create a toggle to turn that feature off, I loathe it. 3) Why isnt there a display of the sum of the end tiles? It would make it easier for me than having to count them out first. Again, thats standard in online versions of Dominoes.
Im very disappointed with this game. You cannot view the whole board at once, but have to scroll back and forth. Placing dominoes on the spinner is also sketchy.
I play with an iPhone 3 gs and my wife plays with an itouch. We can only finish about 1 of every 3 games we attempt. Its really annoying when Im spanking her butt and it locks up close to the finish. That and the fact that you cant "unselect" a domino you change your mind on or miss select. Fix those and its a five star game...
Perfect game without the wifi drops. Please make the wifi connection more stable. We now use real dominoes to play dominoes now. Thats unheard of !!!
I have played at least twenty games and even able to finish MAYBE two!! Crashes all the time!! not worth $2!!!!
I have been playing this game for a long time. I win and loose. The problem is the way the game behaves is somewhat predictable,and that is in a way my way of knowing if I am going to loose or win. When the game has to pass and collect tiles it is never not than 3. And most of the time is only one. As I play it is never less than 3 and most times is over 6 tiles. I have made a log of this and is not random.
The game wins by cheating!!!. If you play it enough you realize it.
Waste of money
